The seventh batch of pilgrims consisting of 2,166 devotees left from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at around 4:45 am, police said, adding that the convoy comprised 67 vehicles.
There were 1,655 males, 403 females, 7 children and 101 sadhus, who left for Srinagar to perform the yatra. In seven days, a total of 15,991 pilgrims have left Jammu base camp for Amaranth so far.
Meanwhile, a fresh batch of more than 10,000 pilgrims left for the cave shrine from both Baltal and Pahalgam base camps on Wednesday morning.
Police sources said that 5,042 yatirs left from Baltal base camp, while 5,422 pilgrims started their onward journey from the Pahalgam base camp.
Till Tuesday, more than 60,000 pilgrims had performed darshans at the cave shrine.
