Police busted a sex racket and arrested five persons, including three women, officials said here today.
The racket came to light after a man lodged a complaint that he suspected immoral activity was going on in the flat he had rented out in Trikuta nagar area of the city.
Following the complaint, police kept a vigil on the house and raided it yesterday, SSP (Jammu) Manohar Singh said.
Five persons, including three women were arrested from the first floor of the house and seized mobile phone sets, a car, a motorbike and Rs 45,000 from the accused persons.
Preliminary probe indicated that the tenant Rajat Sood’s wife allegedly ran the racket in his absence.
All those arrested are being questioned and a case has been registered under immoral trafficking Act.
This is the second such racket unearthed in this locality after a doctor and four persons were arrested on similar charges on April 6.
