'Shah Rukh and Hrithik turn me on'

india Updated: Dec 08, 2006 19:50 IST

Imported from the UK, itsy-bitsy siren Geeta Basra is here to stay. And with the "foreign return" tag attached with her name, this hottie is confident of taking tinsel town by storm.

Did you leave London just to enter Bollywood?
People say that I have been imported from London. I have come to Bollywood to fulfil my childhood dream of becoming an actress. I am die-hard Hindi film buff.

Do you think you have talent?
I do think that I am very talented. Just because I exposed a lot does not mean I don't have talent. I would say that I'm as fresh as a daisy and more beautiful than many other Bollywood actresses. I also realize that talent is not only about good looks. Even many super-hit actresses are not very pretty.

Are you comfortable with exposing?
Initially, I wasn't. But I will expose if my director commands me to do so. An actress has to be open-minded. Good directors don't like girls who throw tantrums and say: "I won't do this and I won't do that."

A good director can take you to dazzling heights of success. So I am planning to work with some of the reputed names.

"Many hit actresses are not very pretty."

Do you think that after making a debut you would be able to sustain yourself in Bollywood?
I do realize that making a debut is easy but sustaining oneself in the tinsel town is not easy. Many talented personalities vanished after making their debut. But I want to go slow and steady. The industry fluctuates too much.

Are you bothered about other newcomers?
I am not in competition with others for the present. Therefore other newcomers don't bother me

Who are your favourite actors?
Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan simply turn me on!
