While SRK is attending IIFA Awards despite his knee injury, Salman Khan whose production venture Chillar Party is premiering at the event, has decided to give the event a miss.
"Salman will be skipping the coveted IIFA Awards, being held in Toronto this year. Initially, Salman was supposed to participate at the IIFA event since CHILLAR PARTY will be screened for an august gathering at IIFA. But travelling to Canada and back will throw the ongoing shooting schedule of BODYGUARD out of gear. Since BODYGUARD is racing towards completion and also because it has to meet the deadline [Eid release], Salman has decided to skip the IIFA Awards this year," says Taran Adarsh.
SPECIAL: IIFA WEEKEND
The actor though is excited about his production venture going the IIFA way.
The actor told IANS, "Chillar Party is very close to my heart, the concept appealed to me and the children's performances were endearing. This is the first film under SKBH (Salman Khan Being Human) Productions and we felt there was no better place to screen the movie than at the IIFA film festival. For me, IIFA is home-grounds and it can't get bigger than IIFA in Toronto."
Must say, 'Dabangg' Salman has learnt to keep his professional commitments.
