Shahid Kapoor has been working hard for his next, action drama Rambo Rajkumar. He has worked up a chiselled body with six-pack abs for the Prabhudheva directorial and the actor is ensuring that he maintains it while he’s away from the sets.

The actor will be hosting the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards this year and he flew to Macau on July 3 for the event. As he will be away for four days, he requested his trainer Abbas Ali to travel with him to the venue.

A source says, “Abbas accompanied him as Shahid wants to continue his training and maintain his strict diet. Shahid had taken a few days’ break from the shooting (for IIFA) and will start again once he’s back. He has been rigorously working on his body in the last six months and has also been following a strict diet regime. His schedule at the awards will be chaotic and he wanted to ensure that his fitness regimen does not suffer. Moreover, as he is vegetarian, it is best if someone goes with him who knows about his diet and can ensure that he eats the right food and on time."

His trainer, Abbas says, “Shahid is dedicated and extremely focused. I am travelling with him to Macau."

Recently, Abbas posted a picture of a shirtless Shahid, showing off his ripped physique, which got a lot of traction on Twitter. Earlier, Shahid had beefed up for his film, Kaminey (2009).
