Shammi's son to make screen debut as a villain

While the men from the Kapoor Khandan have enjoyed thrashing the villains on screen, Aditya Raj Kapoor, the son of yesteryear great Shammi Kapoor, in a huge turn around will be seen in a villanious role in his debut movie.

Kapoor will be playing the character, KN Singh in the recently launched

Diwangi Ne Had Kar Di

. His character is a tribute to famous bollywood villain of yesteryears, K N Singh.

The film, an action-based love triangle, is being directed and produced by Jiten Purohit, and stars new comers Deep and Aahhmita in the lead.

Talking to reporters at the mahurat of his film, Kapoor said, "I am playing a proper villain in this film. Though, it would be wrong to classify any character as a villanious one. Each character has some negative traits and so does mine."

Talking about his late entry in Bollywood, Kapoor said, "There is a proper time for everything and I am arriving at my own time. I have no regrets."

"My father is atleast happy that I'm facing the camera while he is still alive."

Kapoor said he has signed six other films and is looking to establish himself in Bollywood.

Talking about Kapoor's character, Purohit said "I have grown up watching the Kapoor clan playing positive rules. This movie will give the audience a refreshing change. Apart from that no one other than Kapoor suited the role."

The other notable actors in this movie include Harsh Chhaya, Deep Dhillion and Mustaque Khan is scheduled for a June 2009 release.
