Bharat Ratna and shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan has been put on intravenous drip due to age-related weakness.
Doctors attending to the 91-year-old maestro at his home here said there was no immediate danger to his life. Khan, who has been on drip for the last two days, took milk and an egg on Wednesday. The chief medical officer AP Singh said Khan refused to move to a hospital.
Reacting sharply to news channels reporting about Khan's deteriorating health, his secretary Javed reiterated that the maestro was only unwell.
The CMO said the district magistrate has sanctioned rupees one and half lakh for Khan’s treatment. Though his condition is not very serious but nothing could be said as of now, he added.
