The two actresses are coming back together five years after Dus, their last film they did together. Partho Ghosh's film Signature studies mentally ill people and both the actresses play the roles of such women, reported IANS.
"The film Signature is a romantic thriller where it shows two women - Shilpa Shetty and Esha Deol, who are somehow mentally ill... and there is Milind Soman who gets trapped between these two women," director Ghosh told IANS.
The film would be Shilpa's first release since her wedding with businessman Raj Kundra. Signature was completed when the actress returned from Britain after winning the reality show Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.
"The film was completed almost a year-and-a-half ago. The release got delayed because of some internal brawl between producer and financier. The budget of the film is Rs.6 crore," Ghosh told IANS. The film was earlier known as Kaanch, The Broken Glass.
Meanwhile, Ghosh's next film Ek Second: Jo Jindagi Badal De is scheduled to hit the theatres this Friday. The film stars Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala once again and shows how a decision made in one second can change life forever.
Speaking of Signature, Ghosh told IANS, "It's a very interesting story line. It's a very engrossing thriller and I am sure people will love to see it. Once my Ek Second: Jo Jindagi Badal De is released, we will start promoting Signature," he added.
According to Ghosh, the film will get released by August end or September.
