Moreover, Farrukhabad inspector Sharad Pratap Singh and SHO, Shamshabad, Satpal have been sent to the lines. They were all part of the raiding party led by Ram Raj.

According to SSP, Fatehgarh, BD Polson, Yadav, on a tip-off, had gone to the village to nab gang leader Salim alias Fauji who was involved in murders and kidnapping in Kannauj. However, the SHO died during treatment. The injured constable has been sent to Kanpur for treatment.
The SSP said that the police came to know on Sunday morning that those involved in the attack on the police party were hiding in Barauna village. During raids, Tampu was arrested.
