AFTER CREATING waves with his one-liners and rib-tickling jokes in the Great Indian Laughter Challenge on television, Raju Shrivastava had the audience at Arera Club in the City in splits on Sunday.
The club grounds clocked a large number of people, all eager to watch Raju perform and they were not disappointed. He soon had the exited audience, which comprised people of all age groups, laughing uproariously.
The volume of the crowd inside could well be gauged by the parking space, which was so full that the row of cars dotted the road near venue for a long way.
Raju, in his well-known and inimitable style, brought such a range of funny expression on his face that it had to be seen to be believed. His topics ranged from advertisements, TV channels, the rich and affluent and the generation X.
Uday Dahiya of Laughter Challenge fame from MP also performed at the show. Dahiya praised the beautiful city of lakes and the people. In keeping with the mood of the evening, Dahiya cracked jokes involving people from the State itself. The programme was organised by Today’s Home and Infrastructure Ltd with cooperation from several other organisations.
