To prevent people from diseases such as cancer under the multi-sector development programme of the central government, local district administration has decided to provide pure water supply through RO system in 10 villages of the district.

Soon, villagers will be able to buy 20 litre mineral water per day for Rs 2. Cards will be issued to each family so that they cannot buy more than 20 litre per day.

The scheme will be launched in Kuttabadh village first then in the rest of the villages.

The local public health department had reported that underground water in the villages was found contaminated.

About Rs 18 to 20 lakh will be spent on the installation of the systems in each village. Nearly 10,000 villagers will get benefit from the scheme. This scheme has already been implemented in Punjab and Rajasthan.
