Police have arrested six Bangladeshi youths here believed to be staying in the city illegally for the last three years.
Fake documents which included ration and pan cards were recovered from the arrested persons working at a construction site, police said Thursday.
The action initiated by "special operation wing" of city police was part of the drive against illegal migrants believed to be staying in Pune in large numbers.
Police have also picked up a local who allegedly prepared fake papers to facilitate the required documents for the Bangladeshis.
The drive against illegal migrants in the city has been intensified after the February 13 terror attack on the German Bakery here.
