Six take oath as Lok Sabha members

Six newly-elected members of the Lok Sabha, including former Minister and BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain, took oath on Wednesday.

Six newly-elected members of the Lok Sabha, including former Minister and BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain, took oath on Wednesday.

Hussain, elected from Bhagalpur constituency, took oath in Urdu while Narahari Mahato (Forward Bloc), representing Purulia in West Bengal, took oath in Bengali.

Others who took oath were Ram Swaroop Prasad (BJP), elected from Nalanda in Bihar, Abu Ayaz Mandal (CPI-M), representing Katwa constituency in West Bengal, Rampal Singh (BJP), representing Vidisha constituency in Madhya Pradesh and Abul Hasan Khan Mandal (Cong), brother of late Congress leader ABA Ghani Khan Chowdhury, elected from Malda seat in West Bengal.
