Sixty people injured in bus mishap

At least 60 people were hurt , nine of them seriously, when two buses collided head on near Kharupetia college in Assam.

At least sixty people were injured, nine of them seriously, when two buses collided head on near Kharupetia college in Assam's Darrang district on Sunday night, police said on Monday.

The accident occurred when the driver of one of the vehicles lost control and collided head on with the other bus, the police said. Both the drivers were absconding.

The injured were admitted to the Mangaldoi civil hospital while the serious patients were rushed to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital here.
