SNEHALATAL SANGHI memorial inter-district table tennis tournament organised by the Indore District Table Tennis Association will begin Monday at Abhay Prashal.

For cadets, sub juniors and juniors, matches will be held from tomorrow. The singles matches would be played on October 24. Secretary of the association Sanjay Mehta said that 32 in men, 48 in junior boys, 40 in sub junior and 24 in cadet boys would take part in the tournament. 16 in junior girls and 24 in women have already submitted their entry form.
DAVV bodybuilding team announced

DAVV BODYBUILDING and weightlifting team that will take part in the All-India bodybuilding and weightlifting competition to be held in Gwalior from Monday has been announced.

The team: Umar Ansari (captain Gujarati College), Sandeep Pandey (UTD), Kannaih Raikwar (Gujarati Commerce College), Kulbhushan Thakur, Manoj Jangir, Shailendra Josi and Jitendra Swami (all from Indore Christian College).

TT teams announced
DAVV HAS announced the men and women’s table tennis teams that will take part in the West Zone inter-university table tennis tournament to be held at Kollhapur from November 2 to 6.

Men: Sravan Mahurkar (captain Maharaja Ranjit College), Ankur Joshi (Gujarati Professional College), Kunal Dhruv (UTD), Ronak Singh Vadhwa (Prestige Institute) and Chandra Prakash Malvia (Maharaja Ranjit College.

Women: Namrata Rathore (Government Women College, Dhar), Shradha Chapekar (UTD), Anjali Marmat and Neha Marmat (both from MKHS Gujarati Girls College).

Maharishi students excel in taekwondo
MAHARISHI VIDYA Mandir students won the CBSE west zone taekwondo championship held at Jaipur recently. They bagged four gold, one silver and one bronze to win the championship. In the under-14 category, Maharishi boys won the top position while the girls bagged the second position. School principal Archana Dave has congratulated the students for their brilliant performance.

Nidhi, Divya excel in school sports meet
NIDHI PATNI, Divya Sodani and Apoorva Goyal were declared best girl athletes in sub junior, junior and senior categories in the recently concluded sports meet of Choithram School.

Buddha House bagged ‘best girls’ house’ prize, while in boys, Raman House won the prize. Tagore House bagged the overall best house prize. Choithram International School principal H G Pant was distributed the prizes to winners.
Inter-school volleyball from November 2

INTER-SCHOOL volleyball tournament organised by Auckland Academy will be held from November 2. School principal Rachana Sharama said that the competition is open for all the schools of Indore.
