Soccer fever grips John too

Highlight Story

What are the two Bs in John Abraham’s life? Bipasha Basu and bikes, of course.

Taking time off the first B, tinsel world’s best looking dude was chasing the other B in Jaipur recently, for Throttle Max, an eight-city biking challenge organised by Castrol Power One. And as usual, catching up with him was a pleasant experience.

Biker in love: It’s easy to get John talking about his bike. “Oh! She is black and beautiful and I never let anyone drive her,” he says. He rues that films don’t give him much time to go biking but he can still capture the thrill of a bike ride in words: “A true biker is restless and the only solitude he gets is while riding on the wheels, talking with the wind.” His advice for the bikers: “Ride safely, that’s where the true fun lies.”

Career on a breeze: John’s career too is moving on fast track right now. He is wrapping up a few films — “I’ve only four days of shoot left for Nikhil Advani’s Salaam E Ishq and 20 days for Ravi Chopra’s Baabul. And I’m simply excited about my films with new age directors like Shreeram Raghavan, Imtiaz Ali, Soham, and Anurag Kashyap. Not yet titled, these films have engaging scripts. I love to experiment and surprise my audiences but within permissible norms,” he says.

Soccer struck: The world’s talking about soccer and so is John. He plans to go to Berlin for the World Cup final. But right now, he isn’t sure of which team to support exactly. “I’m supporting Brazil, Ghana, Argentina and am hopeful about Germany too.”

Life with Bips: Everything has already been written about John and Bipasha. So, he says with a wink: “In personal life, we are happy, together and bonded.” What more do you want, John?
