Leaders Barcelona will be without Mexican defender Rafael Marquez and Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta for the visit of Villarreal in the Primera Liga on Saturday.
Marquez has a bruised ankle while Motta has a fever. They join forwards Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and Javier Saviola on the sidelines.
However, coach Frank Rijkaard was able to call up Brazilian defender Juliano Belletti, who has been out for around two weeks with a calf injury.
Barcelona are one point ahead of second-placed Sevilla, who visit struggling Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
