Soha’s cure for cold

For those who’re finding actress Soha Ali Khan’s lip lock with serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in their forthcoming release Tum Mile hard to digest, the girl-next-door has a few more surprises in store in the film. Apparently, sweet Soha and her co-star gave director Kunal Deshmukh a tough time during the shoot.

First, she was reluctant about the kiss with Emraan and needed convincing. Then the two actors got sloshed on the set, resulting in the cancellation of the shoot.

A unit member revealed, “The film is set against the July 2005 Mumbai floods and was shot in neck-deep water. The water we used was ice cold so Emraan and Soha took shots of brandy and wine to beat the cold before every sequence. One day they got drunk and ended up locking themselves in their vanity van.”

Deshmukh confirmed the incident, saying: “Shooting in freezing water for about 8-12 hours is a challenge. So we had no option but to drink.”

What upset him was that they got drunk. After waiting for them for six hours, Deshmukh got irritated and cancelled the shoot.

“Emraan and Soha should have known that we were drinking for work and not for fun. Their one mistake would have cost us, financially and physically. When I went to their vanity vans, they were in an inebriated state and I had no option but to call off the shoot.”
