ONCE SEEN as the archenemy, Kapoor Chand Ghuvara suddenly seems to have developed several virtues in the eyes of the BJP. State BJP organising general secretary Kaptan Singh Solanki was full of praise for Ghuvara on Saturday.
During a press conference, Solanki spoke of Ghuvara’s simplicity and the hard work he has done in public life to maintain his mass base and redress people’s grievances.
When asked about Ghuvara’s past and his stinging criticism of the BJP, Solanki said ideology and commitment of a man kept changing in life. He said Ghuvara did not seek ticket from the BJP.
The BJP took into account the profiles of several leaders and found that Ghuvara could be the best candidate in the present circumstances. He joined the BJP recently.
On the resentment among party workers at the ticket being given to an ‘outsider’, Solanki said the party had taken the decision to give ticket to Ghuvara. He was a BJP worker now. Hence, he would get support of every party worker.
