Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit Jharkhand to campaign for party candidates in the Lok Sabha polls.
Rahul Gandhi is arriving in Jharkhand on Wednesday and will address two public rallies, while Sonia Gandhi will campaign in the state next week, Rabindra Singh, spokesperson of the state Congress told reporters.
"As per the schedule, Rahul Gandhi will address rallies in Ramgarh (in Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency) and Lohardaga," Singh said.
The Congress has fielded central Tribal Affairs Minister Rameshwar Oraon from Lohardaga. The party has given the Hazaribagh ticket to Saurabh Narayan Singh.
"Congress president Sonia Gandhi will arrive for one day campaign in Jharkhand on April 9. She will address three rallies at Khuti, Chaibasa and Chatra," said Singh.
The Congress is fighting on nine of the 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand. The party has six sitting MPs from the state.
