Congress President Sonia Gandhi today visited Nagasamudra in the district which has been hit by severe drought.

Sonia, who arrived from Bangalore by helicopter, was moved by the plight of people who have been facing drinking water shortage and unemployment.

During her 25-minute-long visit, villagers pleaded for loan waiver and complained about non-implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP) in the village.
Sonia assured them that she will look into the problem.
