Sony Ericsson launches new phones

Sony Ericsson unveiled three new mobile handsets under its walkman series, targeted at the high-end customer.

Sony Ericsson on Wednesday unveiled three new mobile handsets under its walkman series, targeted at the high-end customer.

"Priced between Rs 12,500 to Rs 22,000, these phones have been designed to target specific customer needs and have a common walkman feature in them. The walkman feature enables users to access music on the go with in built high-output speakers," Sony Ericsson General Manager Sudhin Mathur said.

With a few design modifications, the company is seeking to expand its market to attract youth with its new features.

The company is also offering desk and portable speakers called mobile docking stations which can be attached to the phone to enhance its music output.

These edge enabled quad-band phones offer high-speed data downloads and internet access.
