TRAFFIC IN the city was thrown out of gear at many places this morning following a massive road show organised by the Congress in support of its mayoral candidate Chaudhary Jitendra Singh. Christened as ?Aar Paar Rath?, the vehicle took senior Congress leaders through various routes in the city before reaching the public meeting venue at Ghantaghar in Chowk. Addressing the big gathering, CLP leader Pramod Tewari attacked the Samajwadi Party which he said, was a party of goonda elements.

TRAFFIC IN the city was thrown out of gear at many places this morning following a massive road show organised by the Congress in support of its mayoral candidate Chaudhary Jitendra Singh. Christened as ‘Aar Paar Rath’, the vehicle took senior Congress leaders through various routes in the city before reaching the public meeting venue at Ghantaghar in Chowk.

Addressing the big gathering, CLP leader Pramod Tewari attacked the Samajwadi Party which he said, was a party of goonda elements. The day was not far when this goonda raj would end, he added.

Senior Congress leader Anil Shashtri said people of this city would get free from the shackles of mafia elements once Ch Jitendra Nath Singh becomes the mayor.

Looking at the massive turn out, he said he was confident of Congress candidate’s victory. The victory of Ch Jitendra Nath Singh would be the last nail in the coffin of the Samajwadi Party government, said UPCC president Salman Khurshid. Rita Bahuguna Joshi warned those who were trying to win the election by resorting to violence and intimidation.

Senior party leader Ashok Bajpai said, he was sure that people of the city would vote for the Congress candidate and this day would ill be added as another chapter in the history of the town. Among others who also addressed the meeting included Ch Jitendra Singh, Shyam Surat Upadhya, Rajendra Tripathi, Ram Yagya Dwivedi, Fuzail Hashmi,Virendra Mohiley, Sudhakar Tewari and several others.
