Samajwadi Party on Wednesday made a dig at law minister Salman Khurshid's remarks about doubling the sub-quota for Muslims within existing 27% quota for OBC and said Congress was "confused".

SP state President Akhilesh Yadav told an election rally here that "after providing 4.5% reservation to minorities, Congress leader Salman Khursheed is now talking of giving 9% reservation to Muslims. Why is the party confused?.

Yadav welcomed the decision of the Election Commission to cover the statues of chief minister Mayawati and BSP poll symbol elephant.

On seizure of money by EC teams, Akhilesh said the drive against money power in elections should not be done to harass traders.
