An early-morning joyride by a group of Harley Davidson enthusiasts turned tragic for one of the bikers on Sunday.

Kunal Bhatia, a Gurgaon resident, was cruising on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway when he met with an accident.

Eyewitnesses said he lost control of his bike while avoiding a pothole. His helmet was crushed when his head hit the divider, and he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors say his brain is not responding and he is on ventilator.

A biker who was riding alongside Bhatia said he was not speeding. But Ashok Kumar, superintendent of police (rural), said Bhatia collided with another biker, and both were going above the speed limit.
