Two policemen were killed when a truck rammed into their motorbike in the city late on Monday night before falling off a flyover and landing on a factory.
The accident occurred when the driver of the heavy vehicle lost control over it and after breaking a road divider rammed into the motorbike before falling down the bridge, police sources said on Tuesday.
A guard posted at the factory had a miraculous escape, they said.
The policemen, who were on night patrol, were killed on the spot. They have been identified as Ram Twinkle and Jaswant Singh.
The driver of the truck, allegedly under the influence of liquor, fled from the accident site.
The bodies of the two policemen have been sent for post-morterm.
