NOTED ISLAMIC scholar Maulana Jarjees Chaturvedi claimed, “Only materialism is consumerism’ is not the objective of globalisation and stressed the need to spread the message of peace’. While delivering his views in a programme on Islam and message of humanity at Islamia College ground on Saturday, Maulana claimed that Islam was a Sanatan Dharma and quoted various mantras of Mahabharat, Bhagwat Puran and Vedas. He claimed that all these Mantras were in reference of Prophet of Islam.

Coming down heavily on the forces equalizing Islam with terrorism, he said the teaching of Prophet Mohammad, his life and sacrifices for the society and humanity were ignored.

He said when Prophet was in position to take revenge with his enemies; he not only forgave them but also never used derogatory remarks against his worst enemy.

Maulana said, “Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance and brotherhood”. He said the Fatwas issued by the Maulvis might be their personal opinions and it should not be treated as Islamic views.

Maulana Mufti Waliullah and Maulana Junaid Alam also delivered their views on this occasion.
