Brawl broke out at the BJP meet here on Wednesday when a personal security officer of a party office bearer threatened another leader with a gun.
According to BJP Kashmir media incharge Altaf Thakur, PSO of party's central Kashmir president Dr Ali Mohammad Mir threatened him to shoot at a party function on Wednesday.
The incident took place when an important meeting was going on under the leadership of BJP MP and party's national executive member Shamshar Singh Manhas.
"An important meeting was going on regarding party activities, when I asked the PSO of Dr Mir to leave the room and wait outside. He was infuriated him and pointed a gun to me, threatening to shoot me on spot," Altaf Thakur told the Hindustan Times.
"He chased me across the room," he added.
Demanding suspension of the policeman, Thakur asked his party to investigate into the matter. "I don't think the PSO would dare to do it without backing," Thakur said.
According to eyewitnesses, the policeman was overpowered by other party members and was whisked away.
