Senior Superintendent of Police for Mathura, B.D. Paulson was injured in encounter with criminals running after snatching a car in Farah near Agra Mathura Border, reports Hemendra Chaturvedi.

Senior Superintendent of Police for Mathura, B.D. Paulson was injured in encounter with criminals running after snatching a car in Farah near Agra Mathura Border. The encounter took place in forest area of Jait in Mathura district on Wednesday afternoon. SSP Mathura alongwith four other policemen from Special Operation Group were injured in firing by criminals. One of the criminal was shot dead in firing by police party led by SSP himself.

Sources at SSP Mathura office informed that about half a dozen criminals looted a Scorpio car from Farah area during afternoon hours of Wednesday. The information was communicated to Mathura police and came to knowledge of SSP Mathura, B.D. Paulson. He asked Special Operation Group (SOG) to move with Mathura police.

The criminals finding pressure due to checking diverted to forest area of Jait under Mathura district. B.D. Paulson leading police party came face to face with criminals. The miscreants fired at police and car of SSP was damaged and a bullet struck SSP. Sources reveal that a four constables from SOG were injured.

Police party fired back at criminals and a criminal was shot dead in firing exchange. SSP Mathura, B.D. Paulson was admitted at a hospital in Sadar area and was treated upon along with other injured policemen. Five of the criminals managed to escape and were traveling in Bolera Car with blue beacon light. The criminal shot dead was being identified when report last came.
