ST MARY’S Convent Senior Secondary School is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year and in tune with the yearlong celebration, St Marians rocked themselves at a funfair on their school premises on Tuesday.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, former vice chancellor, Barkatullah University Dr Ravi Prakash Mathur and the guest of honour Rev Archbishop Dr Pascal Topno.
The school, choir welcomed the guests and the dance troupe presented the welcome dance. These were followed by welcome address by principal Sister Mary Sebastian.
Expressing her desire to see the St Marians at greater heights, she said each child enrolled with our school, may come out with flying colour.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Mathur said that an institution of this glory should work forward to bring a social transformation while Dr Topno blessed the school students and teachers.
He expressed that education is the most important aspect and the institution should work in achieving it, by helping the souls to become ultimate men and women of the society.
The State Bank of Indore and Indian Bank jointly felicitated the meritorious students and few teachers for their valuable services.
