"Not only Punjab, even the country needs a new front," said Veenu Badal, wife of People's Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Badal.
Veenu, who was here with her husband, said, "What we have done in the past 14 months and the way people have responded to the PPP and the Sanjha Morcha indicate how desperately people need a new front."
"We have given people hope and I feel they are with us," she said.
On canvassing for her husband, she said, "I have been doing it for 16 years in Gidderbaha. This time, I will travel more as it is a bigger challenge."
On being asked whether she saw herself competing with the other Badal bahu, Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, as far as campaigning was concerned, she said, "I have no competition with her. I'm doing my job. Moreover, I don't even know her very well."
Confident about the morcha's prospects in the polls, she said, "This party is of the people of Punjab and will talk about the people."
