TO BOOST industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh, the State Government would make efforts to ensure 24-hour supply of electricity to industries.

Addressing the ninth seminar on ‘Energy conservation & efficiency in cement industry’ and prize distribution function, the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said it was an appreciable effort of cement companies, who have reduced the consumption of coal and electricity.

“It helps in reducing the cost of cement production and thereby help consumers get cheaper cement,” said Chouhan. He gave his assurance that the State Government would solve problems of industry, by joining hands with them.

The seminar and FL Smith Energy Awards was organised by MP and Chhattisgarh Cement Manufacturers’ Associations. The awards were given in different categories to ACC Keymore Cement, Birla Corporation Limited, Gujarat Ambuja, Century Cement, Maihar Cement, Prism Cement, ACC Jamul and Lafarge.

MPCMA’s president Vivek Chawla apprised the audience on the formation and activities of the association.

He said the new association has been formed under the name of MPCMA and CCMA after the formation of Chhattisgarh. “All companies are putting efforts for reduction in the consumption of these inputs individually for last two decades.”
On the occasion, Vidhan Sabha speaker Ishwardas Rohani and representatives from various cement companies were present.
