State govts should admit 'inability' to protect Kashmiri students: Omar

Reacting sharply to the recent incident of alleged assault of Kashmiri students by fellow students, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said that the universities or state authorities should admit their 'inability' and 'unwillingness'to protect the Kashmiri students.

"If the universities or state authorities can't protect Kashmiri students coming there then man up & admit your inability or unwillingness." he tweeted on the microblogging site twitter.

Making a sarcastic statement, he that that beating up Kashmiri students would' nt end the sense of of alienation in them. "Let's beat patriotism in to Kashmiri students, why don't we. Great way to remove any fear or sense of alienation among Kashmiris. Thugs!!!" he said.

Omar also that the would send the resident commissioner from Delhi to visit the university to ascertain all the facts before deciding the next steps.
