State-level rifle shooting competition begins

STATE-LEVEL rifle shooting competition organised by MP Rifle Shooting Association began at Emerald Heights International School today.  MP Rifle Association president Mahendra Singh Kalukheda inaugurated the meet while BSF DIG Mohinderlal presided over the function along with school director Muktesh Singh and principal Sunita Singh.

Inaugural day results are: Jayavardhan Singh of host Emerald Heights scored 566 points to win the gold medal in 10M Air Pistol 155F. Gaura Pilani and Rghav scored 563 and 560 points to win the silver and bronze medals respectively. Earlier, the school students presented a colourful programme.

Bhopal sub-junior basketball team wins
THE BHOPAL sub-junior basketball team won the State-level championship organised recently in Jabalpur.  Playing against Gwalior in the final, the Capital’s team registered a comfortable 53-18 win. In the semi-final, the Bhopal team defeated Jabalpur Ordinance Factory by 60-48. Kirti Goswami was the team captain while Yashwant Kushwaha was the coach.
