The consecutive attacks from Lucknow boys gave them opportunity in the sixth minute when a player was stopped in the wrong way from heading to the goalmouth by Ghazipur team. Umpire took no time in awarding penalty corner to Lucknow. Capitalising on the opportunity, Surendra Gaur shot the ball directly into the net. However, the next goal in the match came almost after 15 minutes.

Though the forward line of Ghazipur failed in every department of the game, the defense impressed by foiling number of attacks in the first 20 minutes.

But the continuous attacks forced them to commit mistakes. Karan saw an opportunity in the 22nd minute and converted into a goal. He improved his tally by scoring second goal in the 44th minute. Imran enhanced the problems by scoring the fourth goal.

Meanwhile, Angad Singh of Ghazipur provided some relief to the team by scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Surendra Gaur of Lucknow ended the match by scoring the fifth goal. Lucknow won the match 5-1.

After a lackluster performance, SAI Day Boarding Bhopal bounced back in the tournament defeating Chhattisgarh. In a one-sided match, Bhopal registered 7-0 win. Mohsin, Wasim, Azam, Afrab, Azmat, Razik and Shakir were the scorers for the Bhopal team.
