STF nabs Mukhtar man with detonators

THE SPECIAL TASK Force (STF) on Tuesday arrested an aide of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari along with two others. The accused, wanted in several cases of murder, auto-lifting and other heinous crimes, was identified as Prince alias Ahmad. A pistol of foreign make, live cartridges, gelatin rods, four detonators, two Scorpio jeeps, motorcycle, camera and mobile phone were also seized.

THE SPECIAL TASK Force (STF) on Tuesday arrested an aide of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari along with two others.

The accused, wanted in several cases of murder, auto-lifting and other heinous crimes, was identified as Prince alias Ahmad. A pistol of foreign make, live cartridges, gelatin rods, four detonators, two Scorpio jeeps, motorcycle, camera and mobile phone were also seized.

The arrests were made from Sector 13, Indira Nagar where the accused were putting up.

The State Government had entrusted the responsibility of arresting Ahmad to STF. Subsequently, SSP STF SK Bhagat constituted a team led by deputy superintendent of police, Jai Prakash, additional superintendent of police, Rajesh Pandey. The team acting on a tip-off raided Indira Nagar on Tuesday.

STF sleuths said they received information that Ahmad along with two others was planning to escape to Bihar along with stolen vehicles. After the arrests, Ahmad’s accomplice  were identified as Gulam Hussain alias Chote and Babloo Patel.

SSP STF said Ahmad was named in connection with the murder of Ghaziabad’s leading lawyer Alakh Singh. The Ghaziabad police had also declared a reward of Rs 1500 on Ahmad’s arrest. Besides, Ahmad was also named in connection with the murder of Kanpur’s Raman Bhadauria. STF sleuths said Ahmad was putting up at a rented residence in Indira Nagar with the help of one Upendra Rai.

Ahmad had been close to Parvinder Singh alias Dimpy Sardar who was subsequently murdered.
