LUCKNOW UNIVERSITY is becoming increasingly unsafe for teachers.

On Wednesday, student leaders allegedly manhandled a couple of varsity teachers during the examination, but they escaped unpunished. Both teachers and varsity administration, however, tried to hide the incident when the media persons approached them for confirmation of the incident.

The first incident took place at PG Block where LUSU general secretary Vinod Tripathi was taking the MA Yoga paper. He entered into a heated argument with the members of the flying squad when they asked him to change his seat.

Tripathi threw his answer sheet and left the hall in a huff. When a teacher tried to stop him, Tripathi scuffled him and later he fell on the ground.

Yet in another incident, a student leader allegedly misbehaved with a member of the proctorial team during the examination. Interestingly, the LU administration is tightlipped over the issue and dismissed reports of assault or misbehaviour with teachers. “No such incident took place on the campus on Wednesday,” said a official.

Forget about incidents of misbehaviour, answer sheets are being written outside the examination hall. No sooner the examination got under way couple of student came out of the hall and were seen discussing answers with senior hostel inmates. However, once again LU administration rubbished the allegations of answers being written outside the examination hall.

Needless to mention, a large scale copying is taking place in the examination yet the varsity administration claimed that they are carrying out copying free examination. In all 29 examinees were held copying with 13 alone from LU. Also later in the evening a number of student leader stormed inside proctor’s office and warned LU officials of initiating action against any of their supporters caught while copying.
