Students clear French exam

ALL 14 students of Alliance Française de Bhopal have cleared the prestigious exam “Diplôme de Langue” of Alliance Française, Paris with flying colours.

Director of Alliance Française de Bhopal, M. Franck Lelarge announced the result on Thursday. The examination was held last month.

Out of the 14 candidates, four have secured Très Bien mention (between 80 percent and 90 percent), eight students have secured Bien mention (between 70 percent and 80 percent), while one student passed with Assez Bien (between 60 percent and 70 percent ) and another with Sans Mention (between 50 percent and 60 percent).

The Diplôme de Langue (DL) assesses language skills for an advanced level (level B2 at the Council of Europe).

The candidates are evaluated on the basis of whether they are able to implement the main French language structures, show good knowledge of vocabulary and use appropriate communication strategies in a number of everyday situations. This diploma is a two-year course, recognised by the French Ministry of Education and the ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe).

New Batches for beginners will start at Alliance Française from February 15. These batches will be of three -month duration in which classes will be held at an easy pace of three-times-a week.
