Students partake in mock Vidhan Sabha session

A MOCK Vidhan Sabha session was organised at the Model Higher Secondary School, TT Nagar to apprise students of the country?s parliamentary practices on Wednesday.

It was organised by Pt. Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary Chair. Experts of the institute were observers of the mock assembly session.

In the run up to the session, students had been taught about parliamentary practices and were taken to the MP Assembly twice. Rohit Rawat played the role of speaker and Rohit Tiwari that of chief minister. Ajay Sharma was PHE Minister; Sunil Gaikwad, industry minister; Raj Sharma home minister; Ekta Shendre, leader of opposition and Shatusudan Sharma acted as marshal.

Principal ML Dubey said such exercises enrich students’ knowledge about politics. Significantly, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also started his political career from this school in 1972.
