Even as the 'get-together' dinner is yet to come about, the Pakistan players are enjoying the Indian hospitality and cuisines. Shailee Dogra reports.

All the hype surrounding India-Pakistan contest might leave you thinking that players are keeping away from each other while preparing for the "war minus the shooting".

The truth, however, is that they might be busy catching up with each other over dinner and lunch as they are putting up in the same hotel. Even if the players don't have any such plans, the hotel management is planning a buffet dinner to provide the players with a perfect opportunity to meet up ahead of the mouth-watering contest.

Even as the 'get-together' dinner is yet to come about, the Pakistan players are enjoying the Indian hospitality and cuisines.

Shahid Afridi and Co., who arrived in the city on Friday, gorged on mutton biryani, yellow dal and the tandori rotis with fresh juices to go with it.

"They are enjoying the food. We are preparing dishes which are low on fat and sugar," said hotel's general manager Anil Malhotra.

The Indian players, who arrived on Saturday, preferred continental and Chinese platter to Indian cuisine. However, the Indian players too have some favourite Indian cuisine, and the hotel chefs are busy preparing that.

"Sachin will be offered his all-time favourite grilled fish, cooked in Indian style but low on masala. For Dhoni, kebabs are being prepared. Yuvi avoids carbohydrates, and we are preparing food keeping their taste in mind."
