SAD President and Punjab's Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday claimed that the security deposit of Congress candidate Raninder Singh in Bathinda lok Sabha seat will be forfeited as the fourth phase of polling in the state was in favour of SAD-BJP coalition.
According to the trend coming from the four seats which went to polls in the fourth phase, Raninder Singh's security will be forfeited, Badal said addressing an election rally in Kapurthala.
Badal was campaigning in Sultanpurlodhi and Kapurthala for SAD-BJP candidate Rattan Singh Ajnala who is contesting from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat where polling is scheduled for the final phase on May 13.
Raninder, son of former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, is fighting against Prakash Singh Badal's daughter-in-law Harsimrat Kaur in Bathinda constituency which went to polls on May 7.
Ajnala lauded the SAD-BJP government for the development of the State. He claimed Khadoor Sahib was a strong hold of Akalis since 1977 and Akali candidate always remained victorious from this seat.
