Sunday's rain brought down temperature but led to severe across the city with the civic agency receiving complaints from more than 50 areas.
Of the 51 complaints, maximum of 18 were received from Rohini zone followed by eight from city zone. There were eight complaints about tree falling during the rains that lashed the city.
Delhi received just 0.1mm rain till 8.30am, the Met officials said adding, then onwards till 5.30 pm, the rainfall recorded was 3mm. Although it was a holiday, several intersections witnessed traffic congestions, specially soon after the rain stopped.
MCD to cover up drain
The MCD plans to re-model and cover a drain at Subhash Nagar in west Delhi at a cost of R22 crore.
The 1,750-metre-long drain will be remodelled and completed by December end, the civic leaders said.
