One day after Anna Hazare's arrest in New Delhi, support for the Gandhian leader has widened in Orissa.
Demonstrations and rallies continued on the second day of his arrest in the state capital and all district headquarters.
The demonstrations in his support were spontaneous on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, they were planned by several organisations under the single banner of India Against Corruption.
In Bhubaneswar, about 2000 senior citizens, lawyers, social activists continued at the Mahatma Gandhi road.
Students of several colleges of the city started a rally from Utkal University and later joined the demonstration at the Mahatma Gandhi road.
"Anna Hazare has started the movement for a corruption-free future. We have to come forward to join him," said Subrat Mohapatra, a student.
Students also joined the demonstrations in other parts of the state.
