Family members and supporters of slain Bhiwani BJP leader Rakesh Malik refused to cremate the body on Sunday, even as the district administration has agreed to some of their demands.

Malik, a Tosham-based leader of the saffron party was gunned down by two unidentified people at his office on Friday night. Victim's brother Krishan Malik had suspected the role of Haryana minister and Tosham MLA Kiran Chaudhary, her MP daughter Shruti Chaudhry and Kiran's PA Hari Singh in the murder.

They had resorted to traffic blockade in Hisar on Saturday and Tosham on Sunday, demanding registration of FIR against the Congress leaders.

In a discussion with 11-member committee from the protesters' side, district administration had agreed to record the statement of Krishan Malik under 160 of the CrPC and serve notices to Kiran Chaudhry, Shruti Chaudhry and Kiran's PA Hari Ram.

Talking to media persons, Krishan Malik said that the decision on cremating the body would be taken on Monday at 11am after holding a meeting with supporters and sharna would continue till then.

State BJP president Ram Bilas Sharma and INLD leader Dushyant Chautala visited the spot and assured support to Malik family and supporters of the slain leader.
