External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj hosted an Eid Milan on Saturday which was attended by heads of missions of several Islamic countries including Pakistan.
Foreign secretary S Jaishankar and senior diplomats of the ministry of external affairs were present on the occasion.
Pakistan high commissioner Abdul Basit was among those seen talking to Swaraj.
India and Pakistan had a row last week over ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and International Border in which both sides had suffered casualties.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had sent a box of mangoes to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi a few days back.
"Celebrating the spirit of peace & harmony after the Holy month of Ramzan, EAM @SushmaSwaraj hosts Eid Milan for HoMs," external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
A lavish spread was laid out for the guests at the Eid Milan.
