Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone is in talks with John Gotti Jr, son of the infamous mob boss, John Gotti, to portray the mafia leader in a bio-pic.
The actor and the eldest son of The Dapper Don, as Gotti was nicknamed, had dinner together to discuss the project, reported Daily Mail.
Reports suggest that Stallone, 63, will play the role of Gotti, as well as produce and direct the film.
Gotti senior, a career criminal and head of the Gambino crime family, died of cancer in 2002 whilst serving a life sentence for 13 murder convictions.
He was 61 and had spent ten years inside.
Gotti had previously been branded the Teflon Don, after several attempts to convict him of various crimes including tax evasion, racketeering, illegal gambling and other murders. None of the charges ever stuck.
Stallone, who has made a career out of playing heroic characters would be taking a step out of his comfort zone to portray the murderous mafia boss.
The Rambo star currently has four films in development and another, The Zookeeper, set for a 2011 release.
