If you’ve always dreamt of having a gourmet meal home-cooked for you by a master chef, this contest just may have it come true. JW Marriott’s master chef exclusive promotion gives all loyal patrons a chance to take their favourite chefs home with them.

From August until October, guests at the hotel’s specialty restaurants —Italian Mezzo Mezzo (Chef Orianna Tirabassi), pan-Asian Spices (Chefs Thomas and Thomas Wee Kwee Tiam) and Indian Saffron (Chef Shadab Khan)— can participate in a lucky draw. The first prize winner, who will be decided in October, will have one of the master chefs come over and prepare a meal.

“It’s an effort to help our guests understand the cuisine better. They can choose any of the master chefs they’d like to have over, and learn from them as they prepare a meal in the guest’s kitchen,” exlplains Devesh Rawat, assistant food and beverage manager, JW Marriott.

The chef will decide the menu in collaboration with the winner, and any special ingredients that are required for the meal, will be provided by the hotel. “If the guest requests an Indian meal, then they would probably have most of the ingredients at home. But in the case of Italian or Asian cuisine, we would obviously provide the ingredients.”

The second place prize is an opportunity to invite friends and family over for a special cookery session with the chef. “The chef will conduct a live cookery session for a group of five on any date that is convenient to the guest,” explains Rawat. “The guests will be able to participate in the cooking and eat the meal, once prepared. We also plan to take them on a walk through the restaurant to help them understand what goes on inside.”
