Education is no longer limited to pure academics alone. Competitive events at school level have gone beyond the books to include a myriad of activities such as music, choreography, art, creative writing skills among others.

Education is no longer limited to pure academics alone. Competitions, quizzes and other competitive events at school level have gone beyond the books to include a myriad of activities such as music, choreography, art, creative writing skills among others.

Taking this into consideration and emphasising on the importance of participation, Horlicks Wiz Kids is a contest covering 25 cities. After traveling through Bangalore, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Hyderabad among other cities, the contest has finally reached Delhi where the competition will take place at Apeejay School, Noida on August 2 and August 3.

Students from over 40 schools are expected to participate at the event. “The aim of the competition is to provide a platform for the students to show their creativity in any form.

The focus here is on participation and enjoying oneself rather than cut-throat competition,” says Shubrajit Sen, VP, Marketing, Horlicks. Having covered metros and the smaller cities, Sen is of the view that talent is not bound by the development of the city.

“I have seen extremely talented students in many cities such as Patna and Madurai. They are as talented as the kids in bigger cities,” he says. After covering all the cities, two students per city will be selected and the 50 city finalists will meet in Bangalore.

Finally four kids will be selected who will form the Wiz Kids Team. These kids will also get a chance to work on special projects and may also be sent on international forums representing India at international levels.

So if you want to have some fun and give people a dose of your talent, be there at Apeejay School, Noida where the contest is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
