Militants in Pakistan's restive Waziristan province have lifted a ban on newspapers imposed by them in the wake of an "erroneous" report, which claimed that four ultras were killed in a clash with security forces.
Journalists in Miranshah have been quoted by Daily Times as saying that that news stalls reopened on Friday after the Taliban lifted the ban late on Thursday evening.
The two-day ban was imposed on Tuesday after a private news agency carried an old report that was posted on a foreign news organisation's website as fresh news.
