Telugu film star and producer M Murali Mohan will contest the April 23 Lok Sabha elections from Rajahmundry constituency in Andhra Pradesh.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has announced his candidature in the fourth list released in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Though Murali Mohan has been active leader in the party for many years now, this is the first time he will be facing the election.
Former minister Nimmala Kistappa and former Union Minister S Venugopalachari are being fielded from the Hindupur and Mudhole Lok Sabha constituencies respectively.
The TDP released its fourth list with four candidates for Lok Sabha and 28 for Assembly.
Former member of Rajya Sabha Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy is being fielded from Vanaparthy Assembly segment, while opposition leader in the state Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao will be the TDP nominee for Anakapalle Assembly seat.
Another former MP Ambati Brahmanaiah is also being fielded for the Assembly from Avanigadda constituency while sitting MLA Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, whose Nandigama constituency has been reserved for SCs in the delimitation, has been shifted to neighbouring Mylavaram.
